Through our Facilities and Infrastructure fund, CasaSito improves living conditions and offers professional training opportunities for underprivileged people. In October 2006, with the collaboration of Asociación Santiagüito and Constru Casa Association, a small handicraft center opened its doors in Santiago Zamora village. In May 2007, the Bakery of Community Chocantariy celebrated their grand opening. It is the result of the collaboration among Asociación En Beneficio de Mujeres Indígenas, CasaSito, Constru Casa Association, Los Niños Foundation, Give Kids A Chance Foundation and ex-volunteers.

We have 3 projects in view:

1. Construction of a daycare center in the village of Chocantariy which will serve more than 30 young children. In this center, they will receive free pre-school education and food.
2. Construction of a Radio Broadcasting Training center in Xela which will benefit 28 community radio stations and the surrounding areas. With their education programs, not only the broadcasting techniques will be improved but also the content of their programs. In additional, language programs and computer studies will be organized for people who live in the surrounding area.
3. Drilling of a water well and its distribution system in the village of Chocantariy for 1500 people in need. This project will improve dramatically the living condition of this village and reduce illness due to contaminated water.
